1860s Summer Blouse

This 1860s summer blouse was heavily inspired by Scarlett's ruffle dress in Gone With the Wind. It is made of white muslin and has a ruched collar and sleeves. This is made from a combination Patterns of Fashion / Simplicity / Self-Drafted, and follows extant garments, fashion plates and the gwtw dress.

This can be worn either with my white muslin skirt and over my red corset and petticoat or with my brown silk skirt.

I also made a swiss waist, which is not seen on the dress. I drafted the pattern myself and made it of left over black velvet. It has boning inside it and fastens with hooks and eyes and has a ribbon trim at the back.
