Welcome to Dressing Jane

I am happy to announce that we now have 300 members!

This is a free e-magazine containing articles and news about fashion in the age of Jane Austen.  The next edition will be published 10th September 2008.

As a non-profit venture, Dressing Jane is unable to pay writers and consequently readers are welcome to submit articles, pictures etc. for possible inclusion.  All articles, however, must be carefully researched and will be thoroughly checked for accuracy.  Organisations are also invited to advertise their events here free of charge, though I shall carefully check each event for its relativity and reliability.

While the e-magazine will focus on historical costuming dating from 1775 to 1817, articles and events of a similar nature, but related to other eras may also be included.  Editions of Dressing Jane will now be published as individual articles, allowing for greater variety.

I hope the information will be both useful and instructive.
